God promises that on Act 2:8 "but you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth, he will empower any person who wants to share his message with others. True stories enhance others to enrich their life in order to build strong relationship with the power of Jesus Christ in our everyday lives. The Call to Holiness
The Most Reverend William McGrattan, D.D. Auxiliary Bishop Archdiocese and Episcopal Vicar for Ethnic Communities related the story of Jesus Christ's transfiguration and the observance of Lent as a Christian community to God's call to holiness. The transfiguration was not just a gift of God's presence, a manifestation of Jesus' divinity, but also the prediction of Jesus' impending death and resurrection. It was a gift not only given to the apostles Peter, James and John but also to all of us as Christ's disciples.
Lent is not just a time for having awareness of our own sinfulness and the need for us to turn away from our sin. Lent is also an invitation to holiness, where we once again receive the gift of faith-it is a time of grace, a tine when we can be drawn in a deeper relationship with God. Although our society focuses on the individual, Christian life is communal - we pray, fast and do charitable works together. It is in our baptism that we first received the gift of faith, the life of grace which we all share with All Christians.
Abraham as the father of faith allowed God's initiative in his life in his senior years. Faith is not just a set of beliefs but also a response. In faith Abraham responded with trust in God when he was given the task to lead his people as he held on to God's promise that he will become the father of all nations. As we perform the acts of faith we invoke the image of Abraham - of trusting God in whatever circumstances we are in. And as we do, we become, in the hands of God, an instrument where God's blessings will continue to flow - to us and to others.
Life does not need to be complicated and as we hand over our lives to God and act in faith and respond to His call to Holiness, we receive God's fullness and grace - but we must remember that this is a journey that we must take as a community and not as an individual. And just as Christ told Peter, James and John during the transfiguration and in the garden of Gethsemane, we too must respond to His call to holiness, to make an act of faith. Regardless of the circumstances we are in we as Christians must rise up, continue with life and follow Him - the source of all holiness and grace.

Message from the Head Servant
Brothers and Sisters in Christ,
I greet you with the peace, joy and love of the Lord.
On behalf of FCCCPC, I extend my thanks to Group A for hosting the FCCCPC General Assembly last March 19, 2011 at the Holy Rosary Parish. The success of the event manifested your dedication and selfless team effort, which was obviously in love and in the spirit of a true Christian Community oneness. It made the Praise and Worship, the Sharing of Sis. Norma Segui, Holy Eucharist and Fellowship so significant, vibrant and touching. There was sumptuous and good food and the fellowship lasted for some time. We know that you did it for God glorification and for your love to our community - FCCCPC!
We also thank other FCCCPC prayer communities/prayer groups which extended help in whatever form towards the success of the First Assembly. We thank everyone who were there to be one with us in glorifying God.
We were so blessed to have the Most Reverend William McGrattan as our Main Celebrant of the Holy Eucharist. The good Bishop mentioned to me after the Mass that he is very happy to see us - Filipino Charismatic in the Archdiocese of Toronto united. As you all witnessed, he even went down and join us in our agape fellowship afterwards. Many were touched when he went around for closer fellowship and friendship.
We extend our thanks to Bishop McGrattan for taking the time, amidst his very busy schedule, to be our Main Celebrant.
We also extend our thanks to Fr. Daniel Chui, Pastor of the Holy Rosary Parish, for concelebrating the Holy Eucharist with Bishop McGrattan and for allowing us to use the Holy Rosary Parish hall for free.
We also extend our thanks to Deacon Carlos and Sis. Cecilia Nogueira, the Archbishop's Liaison to the Charismatic Renewal in the Archdiocese of Toronto for always being there with us and for their love and compassion to the FCCCPC.
We are looking forward to our Second General Assembly, to be hosted by Group B on October 16, 2011.
Please convey this message to all the members of your respective communities/prayer groups.
All for God's greater glory,
Bro. Don Quilao
