Archdiocesan Prayer for

Holy Year of St. Paul:

 

Blessed be your name,

O God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ,

for you have blessed us in Christ

with every spiritual blessing in the heavens.

Your Son “humbled himself,

and became obedient to death,

even death on a cross” (Phil 2:8)

During this Holy Year of your Apostle Paul, we pray that we may also strive

no longer to live for ourselves

but to be ever more transformed

into the image and likeness

of Christ, your Son,

first born of all creation,

who lives and reigns with you

and the Holy Spirit for ever and ever

 I am very glad to see all of you at the 1st meeting of the General Pastoral Assembly of the Filipino Mission at OLA.  Please continue attending the future meetings.  I also urge each member prayer community to nominate your representative to the Council and bring your community's charism at the service of the Filipino Catholic community in the Archdiocese of Toronto.

The Spirit is really present and active in the Filipino community.  Fr. Ben's openness and docility to the different Filipino communities certainly are encouraging and is another indication of the movement of the Holy Spirit.  His leadership is very inspiring and motivating.  Let us all give our unconditional support to Fr. Ben, to the Filipino Mission, and to all the projects and initiatives that will come up as we labour together in His vineyard.

Fr Ben, we praise and thank the Lord for you and your leadership in gathering our community into one cohesive union to the praise and Glory of God the Father in Heaven.  May He continue to bless you and our community with a persevering service to His Glory.  We, the Filipinos, are indeed very proud of you.
